Coca-Cola Opens New Logistics Site

Coca-Cola has opened a new warehouse near Frankfurt Airport. The logistics site for Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Germany (CCEP DE) is located in Mörfelden-Walldorf.

The approximately 30,000-square-meter commercial space, the centerpiece of which is the 9,500-square-meter logistics building with offices and social rooms, was built by Hannover-based bauwo Grundstücksgesellschaft mbH as what is now the third logistics property for CCEP DE as a tenant. Almost 150 employees work at the new location in the Rhine-Main region. Of these, around 50 are assigned to logistics.

More than 300,000 crates of beverages, or almost 3.5 million bottles, can be stored and picked in the 9,500-square-meter hall in the new logistics building: Up to 20,000 crates are delivered from here to the Rhine-Main region every day. These include classics such as Coca-Cola, Fanta, and Sprite – but also mineral water, certified organic beverages, and tea drinks. These are then loaded onto red fleet trucks and taken to retail customers. A total of 13 trucks belong to the site – in addition to six e-trucks, there are 21 e-pallet-trucks for delivery drivers and for order picking.
