Innovations at the Point of Sale
Thimm celebrates multiple successes at this year’s POPAI D-A-CH Awards: in five out of 15 categories, the manufacturer of packaging and display solutions was able to successfully position itself in the competition.
The Thimm Group is a leading solution provider for the packaging and distribution of goods. The solution portfolio includes transport and sales packaging made of corrugated board, displays, packaging systems made of material combinations, and printed products for industrial processing. The Group received several awards at the POPAI D-A-CH Awards. The Shop! association was founded in 1936 under the name POPAI (Point of Purchase Advertising International). For over 50 years, the organization has been organizing marketing competitions worldwide and honoring the best solutions with awards in gold, silver, and bronze.
The Thimm Group received silver in the category “Personal Accessories, Paper, Office, Stationery” for ½-floor displays of the Share brand for dm drugstores. Thimm developed an innovative solution for the market launch of the Share brand stationery range in dm drugstores: The large ½-floor displays provide space for the wide range of different stationery products such as drawing pads, notepads, and notebooks, colored pencils as well as ballpoint pens. The three compartments on the front create a clear structure for up to 15 different product categories. The size of the compartments can be varied as required by means of panels and dividers. Perforated plates are integrated on the sides for hanging products. Three different sized products can thus be variably attached. The floor displays are made entirely of sustainable corrugated board. They are designed for long-lasting use in retail.
There was also gold in the “Travel, Leisure and Automotive, Sports and Games” category: Packaging for pet supplies by the Brit Care brand. Czech family-owned Vafo Praha S.R.O. is a leading European manufacturer of premium pet food. Under the Brit Care brand, the company sells dry and wet food, snacks, and nutritional supplements for cats and dogs, among other products. The three-part packaging for Brit Care consists of an inlay, a hinged-lid box with laser die-cuts and digitally printed outer packaging.
Thimm also won gold in the “Beverages, Tobacco” category for their ¼display for sweepstakes promotions for the effect brand and silver in the “Food, Daily Use Articles and Confectionery” category for floor displays for spreads by the organic brand Tartex. They also received silver in the “Beauty and Fragrances” category for their 1/4 display for hair care by the brands invisibobble, Tangle Teezer, and pure97 Kids.
