Packaging Designers Create Their Own Gin
Hamburg-based brand agency Hajok Design, which actually develops packaging presentations for companies, has created its own product to mark its 25th anniversary: A gin in a fine glass bottle.
Hajok has been creating packaging designs for a quarter of a century. The agency, based in Hamburg-Winterhude, creates brands for start-ups, national companies and international corporations and launches and relaunches portfolios with up to 2,000 products. The agency now took its anniversary as an opportunity to create a special gin. From the idea to the naming, design, final artwork, printing and labeling, everything in this project was 100 percent in the hands of the Hajok team, reports Antje Neubauer, Senior Communication Manager. In Hamburg’s oldest distillery Elmendorf, the gin “stillthirsty” was created with a lot of passion and craftsmanship. Based on the origins of the managing directors Madeleine Lindner and Klaus P. Hajok, rooibos from South Africa and pine needles from Baden-Württemberg were two of the total of ten botanicals.
“The name describes that even after 25 years, we are still thirsty for more,” said Klaus P. Hajok, agency founder. In terms of content, the gin’s label combines the agency’s history with a look to the future. In keeping with this, it was designed with artisanal printing and contemporary typography.
