Tuffi Milk Drinks in New Bottle

In the dairy drinks sector, the mixed milk drinks segment is growing fastest. The main growth drivers here are milk drinks in 400-milliliter packaging. Last year, they generated an increase in sales of around 16 percent, explains FrieslandCampina, which is taking these market developments as an opportunity to restructure its range of Tuffi milk-based mixed drinks.

According to FrieslandCampina, the recipe of the Tuffi milk drinks has been optimized and they are now even creamier. In addition, the milk drinks have been available in a new sustainable 400-milliliter PET bottle since the beginning of October 2021. “With the new milk-based mixed drinks by our strong regional brand Tuffi, we are serving the most important trends that are currently influencing consumers’ shopping behavior,” says Anne-Katrin Müller, Director Marketing at FrieslandCampina. “They combine practical convenience enjoyment with the desire for more sustainability in packaging.”

New packaging for more sustainability

According to FrieslandCampina, the new bottles are made of 100 percent rPET, are recyclable and deposit-free. To make recycling easier, there is a separation notice on the printed sleeve that wraps the bottle, as well as a perforation, which makes it easy to detach the foil from the PET bottle and dispose of it separately, Müller explains. “It was a big concern for us to take another step towards sustainability with the new packaging for our Tuffi milk drinks as well.”
