Etimex Primary Packaging GmbH has now developed sealing films for customers to use with meal trays and thermoforming films. This innovative product expansion is also part of the sustainability strategy.
ETIMEX Primary Packaging GmbH is one of the leading producers of plastic packaging. The company develops and produces films and containers made of various plastics for packaging solutions in the food and pharmaceutical industries, as well as films for industrial applications. Etimex has now added sealing films to its product portfolio. These are used in thermoforming lines and tray sealers for PP barrier and CPET applications and are marketed under the registered Lamiseal brand. With the expansion of its product portfolio, Etimex offers its customers a single source solution, comprising thermoforming film or meal tray and matching sealing film. This is new in the packaging industry, the company explains.
“We are following a consistent environmental and sustainability strategy. Our PP barrier thermoforming sheets and trays are already 100 per cent recyclable, so it’s long been our goal to offer our customers a single source solution with thermoforming film or meal tray and sealing film,” explains Martin Rank, Head of Sales & Marketing at ETIMEX Primary Packaging GmbH in Dietenheim.
Growing demand from PP barrier customers in particular has confirmed the manufacturer’s decision to develop this completely recyclable package. “It’s the next step in meeting the growing demands of the market and put adequate solutions on the market. For us, adequate here means for us that emphasis is on sustainable packaging, and not a marketing strategy based on questionable innovations. For 25 years, our strategy has been – 100 per cent mono – 100 per cent recyclable,” Rank emphasises.
ETIMEX Primary Packaging GmbH will be represented at FachPack from 24-26 September in Hall 7, Stand 7-216.
