Packaging Valley About to Make a Big Appearance
At FACHPACK in Nuremberg, Packaging Valley Germany will once again present itself with a large joint stand. The cluster will also be providing information on “New Work” in the packaging industry as part of the TECHBOX.
“Transition in Packaging”: This is the key theme of FACHPACK from September 27 to 29 in Nuremberg. And it’s a topic that’s also driving the “Packaging Valley”. How and where does change permeate the cluster? After all, the Packaging Valley Germany association, founded in Schwäbisch Hall in 2007, networks more than 100 companies from the packaging industry. Martin Buchwitz, Managing Director at Packaging Valley Germany, observes the current trends very closely. He sees that the packaging industry is in a constant state of change, which is currently accelerating massively due to topics such as sustainability, digitalization, and challenges in the supply chain. “As a center of excellence in packaging machinery manufacturing, we are helping to shape this change,” Buchwitz notes.
The changes in the packaging industry also include other topics that are on the agenda at FACHPACK. As part of the TECHBOX forum, for example, Packaging Valley will be contributing to the main topic of “New Work”. What do companies from Packaging Valley stand for? How does it feel to work there? What distinguishes the companies as employers? How are they dealing with the working world of tomorrow? Hasn’t New Work already become a reality?
New Work in Packaging Valley
“If you work at one of our global market leaders and hidden champions, you can quickly climb the career ladder,” says Dr. Marc Funk, also Managing Director at Packaging Valley Germany. “Flexible working hours, desk sharing, agile working, smart work: not buzz words in Packaging Valley, but lived practice.” That this is the case, he says, will be demonstrated at the TECHBOX forum with a presentation titled “NEW Work fully on the move!” This will explain how Packaging Valley companies are attracting tomorrow’s skilled workers today and what career opportunities are available for top talents.
Visitors to FACHPACK can also experience how Packaging Valley is helping to shape the current changes in the packaging industry at presentations by member companies. 36 of the now more than 100 member companies will be presenting themselves there – 16 of them on an approximately 800m² joint stand in Hall 3C, including plant manufacturers, component manufacturers, automation companies and special service providers.
At FACHPACK, the TECHBOX on September 28 will focus on “New Work – The future working models in packaging”. Packaging Valley will make a contribution with the presentation “NEW Work fully on the move! The valley of career opportunities for top talent” – just one of the many topics on an extensive program.
