International Label Award presented

In June 2019, an adhesive label for a Frizzante from the PayerPayer winery was awarded the FINAT Label Award.

At this year’s Finat label competition of the European Association of the Label Industry, Insignis Etiketten Erzeugung- und Vertrieb GmbH from Vienna was awarded first prize in the category Label Printing Processes – Combination Printing for the Frizzante label of the PayerPayer winery.

This was Insignis’ first participation in the international competition. “All the more beautiful,” said the Viennese company, “that we were able to celebrate the award together with our partners Gallus and Heidelberg. According to Insignis, the main challenge for Insignis was to underscore its artistic aesthetics with modern printing and finishing technology.

The goal was practically achieved by first applying the cold foil “Micro Glitter Silver” and then printing in 7c (7c printing technology). In the flexo printing process, the soft touch varnish was applied over the entire surface and additionally the digital relief varnish was partially applied. The result was gloss and light effects that could not be achieved with conventional printing methods.

Machinery Manufacturers are Currently Drawing on their High Order Backlogs

A recent survey by the VDMA shows that 44 percent of mechanical engineering companies in Baden-Württemberg are cautiously optimistic about the rest of the year. The reason for this is an improvement in the supply of materials, with the exception of electronic components. As a result, 68 percent of companies in Baden-Württemberg expect nominal sales growth for 2023.
